Pinterest: You need an established Pinterest account in order for this strategy to work. If you don’t have one then create one. When you create one, it needs to be a business account and you will need to spend time building it up. You need to create at least 10 boards and the more, the better.
There are different ways you can create an income from Pinterest; you can use affiliate marketing and advertising networks. Many advertising networks have a traffic limit in order to apply and join so it’s best to start right away with affiliate marketing.

Step 1: Choose an affiliate network
In order to choose an offer, you need to choose an affiliate network. There are tons out there so research for your own. An example many people use is ShareASale and, since they are an approved affiliate company for Pinterest, this is a good choice. Check the different categories and make sure it’s a fit for your Pinterest account.
Step 2: What should I sell on Pinterest?
You don’t already have to have your own product or course. This is about you sending traffic to different areas of the Internet to build up social media profiles or, in this case, to make money. Now you need an offer. An offer doesn’t need to be your own product or your own content. Once you pick an offer, save your affiliate’s link.
Step 3: Use a Scheduling Tool
Using a scheduling tool is how you will get the snowball-like effect with your Pinterest traffic. You want to pin your affiliate pins on autopilot. Pinterest approves Tailwind and it’s one of the best tools for an affiliate strategy.
Step 4: Install Tailwind on Your Browser
If you are using Tailwind as your scheduling tool, you should install it on your browser. This will help you start to schedule.
Step 5: Fill Up Your Schedule
You don’t have to spend a lot of time doing this because Tailwind will do the work for you. Start scheduling other people’s content first and then create your affiliate pin.
Step 6: Create Your Affiliate Pin
Not it’s time to create your offer. There are many places where you can find image templates and Picmonkey and Canva are two options. Don’t get discouraged if you think your pin isn’t good enough. It does take some practice to create pins that have high conversion rates but it works if you work at it.
Step 7: Schedule Your Affiliate Pin
When you have the affiliate pin finished and saved to your computer, you want to place your affiliate pin through your scheduled pins. You can see in your Tailwind schedule the pins you have scheduled that are waiting to be sent to Pinterest. Write a description for your pin and use keywords. Pinterest needs to be aware that it’s an affiliate so be sure to add #ad to the description. If you click “Shuffle Queue” then you have your affiliate pins mixed in with your already scheduled content.
There are some things to note about this. You don’t want to spam Pinterest with links. You are filling up your schedule with other people’s content first so then you can place affiliate links in between. Your pins may get taken down if it shows up as spam but this is less likely to happen if you aren’t linking to too much of the same content. You aren’t able to take other people’s images and then spam with your ShareASale link. Don’t buy fake Pinterest followers in order to gain traffic. This will ruin your profile. Don’t have the URL in the description of the pin since affiliate pins don’t usually showcase the URL address of the link.
Can you really make money on Pinterest?
The fastest way to start growing your income is to pin every day and stay consistent with it. Limit this technique to 8 to 15 pins per day with your regular pinning of 50 to 80 pins per day.
