Turn Your Podcast into Pinterest Gold

Most podcasters want to grow their audience and visibility but not by chasing trends or spending hours making content that vanishes in 24 hours. If you’ve ever thought Pinterest should be part of your strategy but didn’t know how to use it consistently, this episode of the Pintastic Pinterest Podcast is going to change everything.

I brought on marketing strategist and longtime podcaster Patty Farmer to help break down what actually works on Pinterest in 2025. This isn’t about pinning every day or adding more to your already-full plate. It’s about working smarter with the content you’ve already created.

We talked about how to turn your podcast episodes into powerful, evergreen pins that quietly build traffic, visibility, and sales without needing you to constantly show up. Whether Pinterest has been on your to-do list forever or you’ve tried before and got zero traction, this conversation will give you a roadmap that feels light, aligned, and effective.

Use What You’ve Got

One of the most overlooked Pinterest strategies for podcasters is this: repurpose your content. You already have podcast episodes, blogs, freebies, and emails there’s no need to reinvent the wheel.

Patty shared how to create 2–3 pins per episode using different headlines, images, or takeaways, and link them all back to the same piece of content. This multiplies your reach without doubling your workload.

We also talked about how to keep your links future-proof. Instead of updating every pin when your offer changes, tools like Pretty Links or Rebrandly let you update one link and have it redirect everywhere so your pins never go “dead.”

Focus on Keywords (Not Trends)

Pinterest isn’t like Instagram. It’s not about what’s trending today it’s about what people are searching for next month or next season.

Patty and I explored how to use Pinterest Trends and a few simple keyword tools to stay ahead of the curve. She gave examples like using search terms around “money mindset” or “podcast for entrepreneurs” that align with your content and attract aligned leads.

The key? Use keywords that match what your audience is already typing into the search bar. Then build pins around those terms with clear titles and actionable takeaways.

Design to Be Discoverable

You don’t need to be a designer to make beautiful, clickable pins.
Patty and I talked about how to use Canva templates to batch pins quickly, test different headlines, and create visuals that stop the scroll. We even covered how to use short video clips when you want a boost in visibility but why static pins are still your best long-game tool.

Track What Actually Matters

One of the biggest frustrations podcasters have is traffic that doesn’t convert or pins that seem to get buried.

In this episode, Patty shared what she watches for: outbound clicks, saves, and keyword rankings. She also uses smart tracking tools to see what people do after they click on a pin. Are they listening to your episode? Downloading your freebie? That’s the real data that matters.

When you know what’s working, you can double down on it. No more guessing, no more spinning.

Action Steps to Make Pinterest Work for Your Podcast

  • Choose one podcast episode to focus on

  • Write 2–3 keyword-rich titles that speak to search intent

  • Create a teaser pin, a quote graphic, and a short list-style pin

  • Use Pretty Links to future-proof your URLs

  • Schedule your pins using Pinterest’s native scheduler or Tailwind

  • Revisit analytics after 30–60 days to track what’s working

  • Optional: Add a 15–30 second video pin using a highlight from the episode

The Final Pin Drop

You don’t need to hustle harder to grow your podcast. You just need a strategy that keeps working quietly and consistently even when you’re not online.

Pinterest is built for that. And now, so are you.
